Tower mint, second N over inverted N in ENGLAND, mint mark Sun (on obverse only).
Obverse: English shield within laurel and palm branch, with legends in English language: .THE. COMMONWEALTH. OF. ENGLAND. mintmark Sun.
Reverse: Conjoined shields of England and Ireland, value .II. VI. above, beaded circle and legend surrounding, with the date at top: GOD. WITH. VS.

14.9 grams, 37 mm in diameter.
Handsomely struck on a large round full flan, slightly weak in areas as usual for the issue, otherwise good very fine / practically extremely fine, with a most pleasing old cabinet tone.
