Edward IV, Second reign (1471-83), Gold Angel of six shillings and eight pence.
Obverse: St Michael slaying dragon right, with Latin legend and beaded border surrounding on both sides, mint mark large annulet (on obverse only): O EDWARD 'x DEI x GRA REX x ANGLx Z FRANC xx, (trefoil stops).
Reverse: Ship sailing right, surmounted by square-topped quartered shield and mast dividing E & rose, with Latin legend surrounding: xPER CRV SE'x TVA' SALVA'x nOS XPC'x REDEx' TOR.

A bold good very fine for the issue, with a most attractive deep-honey-golden tone.
