Third coinage (1619-25) Mint mark Rose- (1620-21).
Obverse: Third laureate and draped bust facing left, S style ties at rear of bust, value behind, with Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding on both sides: IACOBVS D: G MAG: BRI: FRA: ET HIB: REX.
Reverse: Long cross fourchee over crowned quartered shield of arms, terminal mark rose, no stops in Latin legend surrounding: FACIAM EOS IN GENTEM VNAM
8.98 grams, 36 mm in diameter

Well struck with an attractive lemon gold tone, with a mint lustre.
Has been graded and slabbed by NGC as AU 58, which we feel is rather under graded for this pleasing example.
