Struck from polished dies 
Obverse: Second bare head facing left, date below, with Latin legend and toothed border surrounding: GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA
Reverse: Crowned and crested helmet over quartered shield of arms, heavily garnished, with a crowned escutcheon of the Arms of Hanover, French language motto upon banner below: DIEU ET MON DROIT, with Latin legend and toothed border surrounding: BRITANNIARUM REX FID: DEF:

A truly superb coin of the highest rarity, with beautifully toned medallic reliefs, has been graded and slabbed by NGC as PF64.
NGC Certification number: 5916405-003. (Top of the Population). 

**The only known plain edge example so far graded at either PCGS and NGC. The other 1824 Proof Halfcrown from the Barry Pritchard Collection with the milled edge, received a grade of PF 63+.
