Obverse: Diademed, draped bust facing left
Reverse: +aelfgar on þerham, small cross pattée within inner circle.

Minor edge flaw at three o’clock, otherwise extremely fine, with a most pleasing portrait, with clear legends, an extremely rare type for Wareham.
1.5 grams, 19 mm in diameter.

*We have only been able to find one other example of this extremely rare type, that sold via Spink, 28th March 2012 (lot 440).
