Obverse: First (large) laureate and draped bust facing left, value XX behind bust, with Latin legend and beaded border surrounding: *IACOBVS D: G: MA: BRI: FRAN: ET HIBER: REX.
Reverse: Long cross fourchee over crowned quartered shield of arms, with Latin legend without stops, N’s reversed and beaded border surrounding: FACIAM EOS IN GENTEM VNAM*

A very pleasing example of this first issue coin, the obverse legend somewhat double-struck in places, otherwise practically extremely fine and rare.
