Obverse: Young diademed head facing left, unfinished die clearly showing at the base of the hair knot, W WYON. RA raised on truncation for the engraver William Wyon, 1844 date below, with Latin legend and toothed border surrounding: VICTORIA DEI GRATIA
Reverse: Crowned quartered shield of arms, within laurel wreath, with Latin legend and toothed border surrounding: BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: 
Edge inscribed with incuse letters and star stops, DECUS ET TUTAMEN* ANNO REGNI VIII*

A good portrait with a pleasing attractive old cabinet tone, a few surface marks otherwise a good very fine and a rare variety of crown.
