Obverse: Crowned Scottish arms, mint mark quatrefoil both sides, with Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding: .IACOBVS. 6. D. G. R. SCOTORVM.
Reverse: Crossed sword and sceptre, crown above, date with stops either side below, thistle each side, with Latin legend and beaded border surrounding: .SALVS. POPVLI. SVPREMA. LEX.

A very scarce date for the series, especially in such a high grade, with a superb deep golden buttery lustrous tone
