Obverse: King standing in ship holding sword & shield, ship rigging with three ropes to left, only one rope to right, E on flag at stern, rose flower on hull, trefoil stops both sides. Mint mark Sun on obverse, crown on reverse, with beaded circle and legend surrounding: ED/WARD x DI x GRA’x REX x AnGLx Z x Fxx/RAnC * xx+ 
Reverse: Rose flower at centre on sunburst, over cross with lis terminals, crown over lion in each angle, all within beaded and linear tressure of eight arcs, with large fleurs in spandrels, beaded circle and Latin legend surrounding: DomInE x nE x In FVRORE TVO ARGVASx Me xx

A truly superb detailed rare example, showing a great portrait for this notoriously weakly struck issue, with an attractive all over deep golden tone, an unusual die variety with F of FRANC separated from the rest of the word, Rare.
