VICTORIA, 1887 CURRENCY SET, GOLD FIVE POUNDS TO THREEPENCE
Queen Victoria, 1887 currency four gold and seven silver coin set. Struck for the Golden Jubilee year 1887.
All housed in a leatherette box by Spink and Son, Gold Five Pounds at centre, gold Two Pounds above gold Sovereign, gold Half-Sovereign to lower right and left, silver arranged on alternating sides by size, with the Threepence at centre bottom, silver Crown, Double-Florin Roman I, Halfcrown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence withdrawn type, and Threepence.
All on a purple coloured pad, purple silk lid inlay with gold Spink and Son name and address to centre. Black exterior to box with angled corners and gold pin-striping to angles, gold lettering at centre in two lines JUBILEE COINAGE / 1887.

Attractively toned, with some light handling marks and hairlines, otherwise good extremely fine, practically as struck.
The box in good condition other than slight damage to the front right angle.
